Activity Purpose and/or Learning Outcomes The learner will be able to discuss socioeconomic impact of contracting a bloodborne illness. The learner will be able to list three (3) types of bloodborne pathogens. The learner will be able to list the modes of transmission for exposure to bloodborne      pathogens. The learner will be able to explain the mechanisms of bloodborne pathogen transmission.  The learner will be able to describe the WHO’s five (5) “key moments” hand hygiene should be practiced.  The learner will be able to list three (3) infection control prevention methods.  The learner will be able identify example of workers who are at risk of exposure to bloodborne pathogens.  The learner will be able to explain how to reduce the chance of exposure to bloodborne pathogens in the workplace.  The learner will be aware of the responsibilities of employers and employees in promoting safe practices.
