Activity Purpose and/or Learning Outcomes The learner will become aware of the laws that govern the practice of nursing in Florida. The learner will have knowledge about the minimum requirements for safe practice. The learner will be able to list three (3) application criteria for licensure by examination. The learner will be able to list at least two (2) application criteria for licensure by endorsement. The learner will have an understanding about the procedure for the biennial renewal of licenses, and the reactivation of inactive licenses. The learner will be able to list five (5) mandatory continuing education courses. The learner will be able to list at least four (4) acts that constitute sexual misconduct in the practice of nursing. The learner will be able to list at least four (4) acts within the practice of nursing that constitute a felony of the third degree. The learner will be able to list at least four (4) acts that constitute grounds for denial of a license or disciplinary action. The learner will have knowledge about the role of the Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner.
