What Kind Of Digital Teacher Are You?

It's another thing I have to add, alongside the thirty other things you have asked me to do.  It will have to wait until I get a chance to look at it.

How exactly am I supposed to do that?  I hardly have any iPads or computers and I don't even know how they work.

I'm trying to but there have been so many problems.  I don't know how to see gaps in the children's learning and where to go from there.  This is really stressing me out.

I am already using technology in my classroom and some of it is integrated into the daily programme.  I don't have time to learn how to use a lot of the technology before I teach it so I stick to what I know.

What part of my programme isn't digital?  I'm up with the latest apps and trends and use it throughout my day with the students.

I'll have to put it on my desk and show the IT person later.

Why does this keep happening to me??

I'll try turning it on and off again, that sometimes helps.

I can fix the fault and get going again in a short amount of time.

I can fix this iPad, and all of the other iPads that other teachers have left for me to do.

I don't know why I need to do this, I won't remember any of it anyway.

I'll go begrudgingly but I can't see myself using it in the classroom, it's too hard right now.

I know I need PD in digital learning but I just don't have the time!  I'm too busy trying to actually teach without interruptions!

I'll take up the offer of PD, I'm always looking for new ways of teaching in the classroom.  I'm not sure if it will make any impact on my own teaching though.

Sign me up!  I can't wait to implement new technology with my students.

Can you print it off and share it that way?

I'll look at it but I'm scared I'll do something wrong and ruin it.

How do I get to the Google Drive?

I'm confident doing that, I'll download it and edit it my way.

No problem.  I'll even put it up in the team drive so everyone can access it remotely.

They can do it with a reliever when I'm on release.

I can video the students but that's about it.

I know how to use a movie app but it's too hard teaching a whole class at once.

This is going to be a lot of work, but it will be worth it.  We could make a movie trailer.

Awesome!  We could even use some green screen for special effects!

Yes, it's a great way of capturing what we are doing at any time.

I like to take pictures but I'm not very good at it.

I take pictures often and we share with with family at home.

I always take pictures and we use them to both reflect on what we are learning and share with others outside the classroom.

Gah!  I'm not interested in that, it's too complicated.

It sounds hard, I haven't had the hours free to learn it and my students are too young anyway.

I've heard that it can be used in the classroom but I have no idea what that looks like.

I've started basic coding with my students, it's a great novelty.

My students use coding in our programme to show learning in other areas.

No, I don't understand it.

Not really, others use it but I find it difficult.

I like using it myself but struggle to use it in the classroom.

I enjoy using technology, the students find it fun too.

I love technology and can see how it can be used to make life so much easier in the classroom.

When someone else is doing it.

I like to stay back until someone else has tried something and has proven it works.

I like taking action, I'm hesitant sometimes but get there in the end.
