This program aims to provide the members of a patient’s multidisciplinary team with the core knowledge and skills to effectively manage ALS patients throughout their disease process. Additionally, this program will provide an overview of current treatment regimens, complimentary therapies, and methods to identify and treat symptoms associated with disease progression. In summary, the program will benefit home infusion pharmacists, nurses, and dietitians involved in caring for patients with ALS by ensuring appropriate treatment regimens as well as interventions to prevent complications and the development of co-morbidities.
