Questions and Answers
1.
READ ABOUT "JET LAG" AND WORK WITH
THE EXERCISES
Sometimes passengers and crews travel across many
times zones in less than a day. This disturbs their biological clocks, produces
disorientations and reduces concentration and efficiency.
Typical symptoms are insomnia, daytime sleepiness,
slower reflexes, indigestion, poor appetite or hunger pangs at unusual times
and depression. These may last for several days until the body adjusts to the
local time. What can we do to reduce the effects of jet lag? Sleep well the
night before, avoid alcohol before and after the flight, drink lots of water
during the flight and reduce the workload the first few days after arrival.
