Have a Fabrication Student Worker double check your design to ensure it will not damage the machine
Run the Spindle Warm-up routine to adequately prepare the spindle for operation
Lay on the table and trace yourself out with the tool bit
If necessary, cut your material to fit on the 4x8 foot ShopBot table
0.020" in addition to the thickness of your material
0.2" in addition to the thickness of your material
0.5" in addition to the thickness of your material
1" in addition to the thickness of your material
Use the Z Zero plate and initiate the Zero Z Axis w/ Zzero Plate command in the control sofware
You don't need to worry about the Z axis of the machine, the machine will do it for you
Return all tools (collet, collet nut, router bits, drills) to their original location.
Remove and discard any excess material or cutoffs in appropriate bins (i.e. scrap bin).
Turn OFF the shopbot and engage both emergency stops.
Disengage the spindle and return the key to the front desk.
Vacuum the area on and around the table to ensure it is clean for the next user.
