This test is designed to help you place yourself in one of the SABES levels.  At the end, you will be given your numerical score, and a suggested SABES class level.  If you feel that your score does not correctly reflect your ability, or your speaking ability is vastly different from your writing ability, please email [email protected] to let us know what level you would prefer to attend on the first day of classes.  

SABES offers a “Super Beginner” class for students who have had NO previous exposure to Spanish but are interested in an introduction to basic Spanish grammar and medical vocabulary.   If you know you would like to be in the Super Beginner class, you do not need to take the placement test.  Please send an email to [email protected] to let us know that you will be enrolling in the SABES Super Beginner class.  

And finally, don't forget your accents!  If a response requires an accent, it will be marked incorrect if you do not include one in your answer. Use keyboard shortcuts to insert accents on fill-in-the-blank questions.
