The sweet spot of the putter is between the top and bottom of the putter face.  It is hard to practice hitting this spot because it cannot be seen when you are standing over the ball looking down. 

Using the Pendulum Putting Rod will assure that the putter is returning to the ball at exactly the same height during each stroke.
