Pokemon Battle

You chose Rhydon I hope!! Moltres moves out first. It uses Flamethrower! The powerful fire shoots out of its beak. Even from across the court you can feel the heat of the flame. Rydon's moves are Stone Edge, Earthquake, Drill Run, and Megahorn. Which one do you use?

You used Stone Edge! Stones are fired at Moltres as it tries to burn Ryhorn. The sharp rocks pelt through the fire attack and hit Moltres! Moltres falls low, but isn't beaten yet! It flaps up again, straining against gravity, to use Sky Attack! Do you tell Rhydon to stand its ground,  try to dodge Moltres's attack or use an attack of your own?

Well... I'd like to give you a choice, but I can't since this is a quiz. You send out Blastoise! Your opponent is just as smart as you and decides on a super effective Pokemon. You groan inwardly when the flash of light from the Poke ball disappears to reveal Tangrowth. Your opponent has a smug smile, sure you are going to lose. Circumstances are piled against you at the moment, but you know you can beat that pile of vines. Your hands curl into fists as you go over the moves you have in your head and finally decide on one. Which did you decide on?

Tangrowth suddenly shoots out vines using Power Whip! The vines smack into Blastoise and he sounds out in pain. You instantly shout for him to use Toxic. He shoots out bubbles of toxins blindy in all directions, still trying to fight off the vine attacks. Miraculously, Tangrowth is hit! It backs up while the poison takes its toll. What should you do next?

You decide that you want to use Bite. But as soon as you open your mouth for the order, Tangrowth sends out Vines in every direction, aimlessly thrashing about to inflict as much damage on Blastoise as possible. Blastoise connects with the vines and roars in pain as they squeeze and cut him. He faints in a pile. Your throat is tight as you claim him back with your Poke Ball. Who are you going to send out next?

You send out Charizard! He instantly flaps his wings, gaining entry to the skies. Tangrowth, however, has by now recovered from the first effects of the poison. It uses Power Whip again, trying to keep Charizard from gaining air. You shout for Charizard to use Heat Wave. Instantly he responds, opening his jaws to emit boiling air. Tangrowth immediately withdraws its vines, trying to dodge the painful attack coming towards it. Charizard is too fast, however, and closes his jaws with a final snap as he finishes soaring upwards. Tangrowth is dazed by the heat, but follows up with Ancient Power, pelting Charizard with rocks. You shout for Charizard to dive down and use Inferno. Tangrowth has no chance of staying through the intense move. It faints on the spot with burns. Your opponent takes it back with thin lips, displeasure obvious. You opponent takes out the last chosen Poke Ball. Will you keep Charizard in or switch back to Rhydon?

You know your Charizard is still the freshest and most agile member of your pokemon, so you decide to stay with him. Your opponent throws the Poke Ball, and the Pokemon you are up against for your last battle is... Charizard! You stare at the field, running moves through your heading, knowing there was no upper hand in this battle, Ryhorn wouldn't stand a chance against Charizard, and his Charizard and yours were evenly matched. How would you win this battle? What move do you decide to begin this final battle with?

You know the fire moves are useless. They won't have much effect against the same Pokemon. So you decide to use a Hyper Beam, and go into physical mode instantly. Your opponent yells for the other Charizard to dodge the attack then use Fly. You curse that your hyper beam missed and wait for the other Charizard to come from the sky. At the last moment before the Charizards strike each other, you yell for your Charizard to use Inferno and distract the other Charizard to dodge Fly. You Charizard swings around to the end of the field, facing the other Charizard. The other Charizard copies the same move. Silence fills the stadium as the audience holds their breath, wondering what is going to happen next. The silence is broken as you scream for your Charizard to use Wing Attack. Your opponent yells for the other Charizard to do the same, and they crash together in the sky. When met, they plummet downwards, each attacking the other of their own volition with their claws and teeth. Just barely you are able to get your Charizard to listen to you and spring away from the other Charizard before they crash to the earth. The opponent's Charizard is not so lucky and hits the ground with a dull crunch. Your opponent runs forward at the same time as Nurse Joy runs onto the field with Chanseys. They lift the Charizard onto a Pokemon stretcher and rush into the Pokemon Center that is kept ready for the slightest injurt. Your opponent turns to face you and shakes your hand, admitting defeat. Your opponent then rushes after their Charizard as you are declared winner of the Pokemon Battle.
