Use the wide-awake state to collect all the information, write it down and look at it, feel it, sense it.
After you have “asked” your emotional self, or your right-brain, write down the decision.
Check it for inconsistency and impracticality.
Maybe you even need to repeat the process, if you have time.
Maybe you could ask a friend their opinion and include it among your “facts”.
Finally write down your decision and work out how you are going to implement it
Then DO IT. The army general’s credo is: “Rather a good decision today than a perfect one tomorrow”.
