He needed their support and encouragement to keep going.
They were good for doing little jobs like passing out the bread at the feeding of the 5000.
The best friend he has ever had.
The greatest teacher in the world.
The greatest miracle worker in the history of mankind.
The Christ, the Son of the Living God.
He teaches them about the cost of Discipleship.
He shows Peter, James and John his glory.
He tells them about the suffering and death he will have to endure.
He teaches them about servanthood.
All of the above.
Get him so angry that he'd physically try and harm them
Treason against Caesar
Because it was so hurtful since he was dying.
Because salvation wasn't available until he actually died.
Because they meant to say "He healed others, but he can't heal himself."
Because it's not that Jesus couldn't save himself, rather he wouldn't save himself for our sakes.
