Wash Your Hands Using soap and warm water, rub your hands really well for at least 15-20 seconds. Rinse your hands, dry them with a paper towel then turn the tap off with that paper towel. The mechanical action of washing, rinsing and drying removes most of the transient bacteria present on your hands. If your hands do not look dirty, clean them with alcohol—based hand sanitizers.
