The City of Tacoma - Tax & License Division online for-hire exam consists of 25 questions. Questions may be true/false, multiple choice and fill in. These questions focus on Tacoma geography, local attractions and Tacoma's for-hire regulations. It may take you up to 30 minutes to take this exam. In order to pass you must have a score of 70%.

Applying for Your License
At the end of the exam, you will have the option to download a Certificate of Completion. The City of Tacoma will also notify you, by email, of your results of the exam. When applying for your Tacoma's For-Hire License, please bring your Certificate of Completion or the email showing you passed the exam.
