The EPCC EMSP Jurisprudence Course and Exam for EMS provides the knowledge EMS providers need of the Texas Health and Safety Code - Ch 773, the DSHS rules and any other applicable laws affecting a certificant's activities which are regulated by the department. This program was made mandatory by the 84th Legislative Session.
EMS Providers must provide proof at initial and renewal of a license that they have completed a DSHS approved jurisprudence examination per 157.33 and 157.34.
Upon completion of this course and exam you will receive a course completion certificate. You must maintain this record for 5 years and be able to show proof of such in case of an audit by DSHS.
