Students should only be referred to the office for severe infractions or as a last resort.
You may send a child to the office before completing a referral form if you feel too frustrated to appropriately deal with the situation.
You should utilize your buddy list to assign students to lunch detention; If you have students sit on the wall during recess, it is NOT the responsibility of the duty teacher to ensure that tehy stay there and/or do their work.
Once Erinn/Jacque reviews information on a referral, she will call your classroom and have the student report to the office.
You can expect that Erinn will follow up with you regarding the outcome of all referrals.
Contact Colleen and ask her how to use the language line to translate. She will walk you through the process.
Ask the student to assist you in speaking with his/her parents.

Do not make calls home to parents who speak other languages; put your communications in writing and send home with the student.
