- The learner will be able to discuss socioeconomic impact of contracting a bloodborne illness.
- The learner will be able to list three (3) types of bloodborne pathogens.
- The learner will be able to list the modes of transmission for exposure to bloodborne pathogens.
- The learner will be able to explain the mechanisms of bloodborne pathogen transmission.
- The learner will be able to describe the WHO’s five (5) “key moments” hand hygiene should be practiced.
- The learner will be able to list three (3) infection control prevention methods.
- The learner will be able identify example of workers who are at risk of exposure to bloodborne pathogens.
- The learner will be able to explain how to reduce the chance of exposure to bloodborne pathogens in the workplace.
- The learner will be aware of the responsibilities of employers and employees in promoting safe practices.
