The few rest of the hadeeths in the book are short so we will study some of them two a week inshaa Allaah. Please read the Explanation of Nawawi's 40 Hadeeths by Shaykh Al-Uthaymeen, available in English. If you are not memorising the hadeeths, then you might wish to skip the first two questions.
A. Allaah has made the obligations obligatory so do not be neglectful of them.
B. And He has set down boundaries so do not overstep them.
C. And He has made things forbidden so do not enter into them.
D. And He remained silent about things - without this being due to His having forgotten about them - as a mercy to you, so do not inquire into them.
E. Have zuhd of this worldly life, Allaah will love you.
F. And leave off seeking after that which is with the people, the people will love you.

Renounce what the people possess
Abandon from the world the things which will not benefit a person in the hereafter
Be zealous in carrying out actions which bring benefit in the hereafter
Avoid matters that waste time and are not beneficial
Desire the fine things of this life
Wearing only woollen clothes
Fighting in the path of Allaah
Seeking the fine things of life
Abandoning anything that does not benefit a person in the hereafter
spending time on finding the very finest clothes and perfect car/horse
