I clicked on the symbol because I want to fade it out.
I clicked on the tween because I want to rotate the symbol.
I clicked on the brush tool because I want to change the color.
I clicked on the library so I could delete the symbol.
Both tweens give up some of the control to the computer (to the Flash program)
Both tweens are set up with 2 keyframes
Both tweens can be used to animate symbols.
Both tweens demand separate layers for each object you want to animate with them.

Right click between the keyframes.
Convert my name to a symbol.
Use the transform tool to resize my name.
Make sure the alpha is set to 100%.
Use frame by frame animation for part of the animation.
Nothing - motion tweens have to move in straight lines.
Add a motion guide layer and draw a line for the symbol to follow.
Add a layer and animate the symbol in that layer too.
Right click and choose Convert To Symbol from the menu.
Right click and choose Movie Clip Symbol from the menu.
Double click on it to enter the timeline of the symbol.
