The accommodating individual may not necessarily be comfortable with the resolution and may even start harboring bitterness toward the other person.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For example, let\u2019s say two team members, John and Mark, are given a joint task by their manager to be completed by the end of the week. John suggests they work on this task on Tuesday since he has a light schedule that day. Mark accepts this suggestion even though he had high-priority deliverables planned for Tuesday. He now has to work overtime to compensate for this accommodation.&nbsp;<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><b>Pros:<\/b><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Good for avoiding conflict on trivial matters to save time&nbsp;<\/span><\/b><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It can help maintain and improve relationships&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><b>Cons:<\/b><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It can breed resentment in the accommodator, especially if they use this conflict mode frequently&nbsp; &nbsp;<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><b>3. Mark responds to John\u2019s suggestion of working on the task tomorrow by simply stating that he has a busy week ahead and will let John know when he has the bandwidth. To avoid conflict, Mark never gives John an update.
