Song competition finalists

More than 100 amateur and professional composers entered our competition to set the words from one of Shakespeare's much-loved songs to music.

Choose your favourite song from the shortlist below, then cast your vote (note if you vote and then use your browser's 'back' button the song order becomes mixed).

Voting closes 16 April 2015 and the winning song will be performed at Shakespeare's Birthday Bash on Sunday 26 April 2015.

Greg Harradine, aged 27, from Chessington, Surrey, is a freelance composer and musician who plays piano and guitar. His song By Your Side was performed around the UK by the Military Wives Choirs.

Ella Grace, aged 30, is a Scottish-born songwriter who lives on a boat in West London. She trained at the London School of Musical Theatre before fronting the band Hitchcock Blonde.

TJ Holmes, aged 42 lives in Kent and is an actor and musician who plays 'cello, guitar, clarinet, accordion, ukulele, bass and piano. He used to be a chorister at Westminster Cathedral.

Matt Winkworth, aged 30, from Oxford is a freelance musician working as musical director and composer. He plays piano and studied music at Goldsmiths College, London.

Josh Sneesby is a 24-year-old actor living in London. He has worked for the National Theatre and National Youth Theatre. He sings and plays piano, guitar, French horn, accordion and harmonica.

Jonathan Fletcher, aged 30, lives in Stratford-upon-Avon and works as a professional composer, writing music for film, corporate, commercial, documentary and theatre projects.

Kieran Buckeridge, aged 38, lives in Bath. He is an actor who also composes for the theatre, after teaching himself the piano and flute. Last year he was composer in residence at the Bristol Old Vic.
