Shabbat is a day that is observed in the Jewish religion as well as other select religious groups. The Shabbat is sometimes referred to as the Sabbath which is the day in which these people rest. It is the seventh day of the week, Saturday. Right before this time of the Shabbat on Friday evening before the sun goes down, people perform a ceremony using candles and recitations. Before the Shabbat, the people will eat a meal and on Saturday evening they will eat a meal. This day of rest is considered to be a holy day for the Jewish people. They perform many rituals, but there are several things that they are not allowed to do which includes many laborious tasks.
