Legal terms are phrases and words used in law or court matters. These terms are usually heard or seen in court. For the most part, these terms aren’t heard outside of a legal matter. A defendant is a person who is having a lawsuit brought against them. A docket is a record of the court cases. Some terms are from a different language.
