John Locke was a British philosopher. He was born in 1632 and died in 1704. Locke was very well educated by earning bachelor’s, master’s, and doctorate degrees. Locke created a theory of mind which has people understand who they are. Locke believed that everyone’s mind began empty so that information and knowledge could be filled with it. Most of Locke’s education was based in health and medicine. John Locke was also involved in politics. There were several times that Locke had to escape and run to another country due to his views. One of Locke’s major pieces include "An Essay Concerning Human Understanding."
