Biomolecules are often referred to as biological molecules and they are found in every living organism. Many of these biomolecules are known by more familiar names, including lipids, carbohydrates, proteins, and acids which are the four groups of biomolecules. DNA is a biomolecule that is made up of nucleic acids. Each group of biomolecules have carbon in common. If you ever paid attention in science class, you are familiar with how molecules bond together and form different compounds. Each molecule helps the body maintain proper function. Different elements of the periodic table combine in more than one way to create biomolecules.
