Poetry is all around us, but most of us have to admit that we don’t know much about it. Do you know what onomatopoeia, assonance, and alliteration are, and how they are used in poetry? Poems may have unusual capitalization, including none at all! Some poems are written in a specific meter, so that the words follow a special rhythm.
