Top Base Flashcards

Chemistry can be very confusing. There are many different things to remember, and one of the more confusing is the difference between an acid and a base. A pH scale is used to measure how acidic something is. The scale goes from 0 to 14. Anything measuring higher than 7 is considered a base and anything lower than a 7 is an acid? Did you know that the strongest bases are those that measure closer to 14?

One of the first experiments that most students do is testing the acidity of a substance by how it reacts to a strip of paper. Did you know that the strip is called litmus paper? If you are ready to learn more, then try out our flashcards and get started today! They will help you to establish a firm knowledge “base!”
