What are the 4 tools?
1.) Positive reinforcement in the administration of a pleasant and rewarding consequence.
2.) Avoidance Learning is the removal of an unpleasant consequence following a desired behavior.
3.) Punishment- is the imposition of unpleasant outcomes on an employee
4.) Extinction- is the withdrawal of positive reward; behavior is no longer enforced and hence is likely to happen more in the future.

Examples of Positive Reinforcement?
praise employee; recommend pay raise---> increases likelihood that behavior will be repeated

Examples of Avoidance Behavior?
Avoid reprimand, and negative statements---> Increases likelihood that behavior will be repeated

Examples of Punishment?
Reprimand employee; make negative statements---> Reduces likelihood that behavior will be repeated

Examples of Extinction?
Withhold raises, merits, pay, and praise---> Reduces likelihood that behavior will be repeated
