VALIDATE
Validate your feelings and the voice that says "I don't want to!!" There is a real reason for how you feel. Write down the task under consideration and take a moment to explore and acknowledge your feelings. (Be aware of any tendency to self-criticize or self-judge.)
IMAGINE
Imagine yourself accomplishing the task peacefully an d productively. It may be easier to close your eyes and visualize each step of the activity. If it helps, take a few moments to write down your thoughts.
TAKE SMALL STEPS
Break the project down into smaller steps. Set achievable goals and realistic time frames for accomplishing each step. Be comfortable with imperfection-it's the progress that counts here.

ENJOY THE FEELING OF MAKING PROGRESS ON THE PROJECT!! Cheerlead and coach yourself. Focus on your abilities and skills. Recognize your past achievements. If it makes sense, share your progress with supportive people in your life.
LIGHTEN THE LOAD
What benefits will accomplishing this task bring? What negatives will accomplishing the task remove? Will it reduce guilt, shame or anxiety? Will you make yourself and someone else proud of your accomplishment? Will you improve your GRADES or job performance or another important area of your life?
SWEETEN THE POT
Build pleasure in wherever possible-during and/or after the task. Reward your efforts and enjoy the accomplishment.
