A right roll using differential ailerons requires what changes? A. Rudder moves right to increase drag on the right side and push the nose right B. The right aileron moves down to increase that wing's drag, and the left aileron moves up to increase that wing's pressure differential. C. The right aileron moves down to increase that wings pressure differential, and the left aileron moves up to increase that wng's drag. D. The left aileron oves down to increase that wing's pressure differential, and the right aileron moves up to increase that wing's drag. E. The left aileron moves down to increase that wing's drag, and the right aileron moves up to increase that wing's pressure differential.
D. The left aileron oves down to increase that wing's pressure differential, and the right aileron moves up to increase that wing's drag. Lift is increased right wing drag increased
Using manual elevator trim tabs to reduce backward stick pressure, what must happen? A. Flaps are extended. B. Nose-up trim is accomplished with elevator trim tab moving up. C. Nose-down trim is accomplished with elevator trim tab moving down. D. Nose-up trim is accomplished with elevator trim tab moving down. E. Nose-down trim is accomplished with elevator trim tab moving up.
E. Nose-down trim is accomplished with elevator trim tab moving up. Trim tab is OPPOSITE of up/down elevators
Climbing past 10,000 feet, you set your altimeter at 29.92 feet. At indicated level flight, true altitude changes will A. Decrease with increase in pressure B. Decrease with decrease in pressure C. Remain the same despite pressure changes D. Increase with increased outside air temperature (OAT). E. Remain the same despite outside air temperature (OAT) changes.
B. Decrease with decrease in pressure Approx settings dependent upon pressure + Temperature
Changing the altimeter to 30.05 from 29.90 is what apparent change in elevation or altitude? A. Decrease of 150 feet B. Increase of 300 feet C. Decrease of 1,500 feet D. Decrease of 300 feet E. Increase of 150 feet
D. Decrease of 300 feet Each 00.01 = 10 feet, each 00.10 = 100 feet, each 1.00 = 1,000 feet
