Salesforce has different sharing rules when it comes to which users can have access to certain things in Salesforce. In a company, there are many people that need access to certain records or information. However, Salesforce has put into place certain rules for sharing most likely so that it makes it safe and not as risky. There are two main types of sharing in Salesforce.

One is called manual sharing and in that kind of sharing you have complete access to the records and allow certain others to share them. However, in order to do that, you must have the right to do the sharing. The other type is called automatic sharing. The requirements for security are found with this one person. The different types of sharing rules are called case sharing rules.
