The German airforce was called the Luftwaffe and its airmen were as brave as the British RAF and just as capable as dropping bombs to cause maximum damage and devastation to constructions and cities. The misery caused by those bombed, if they survived, lasted probably to the end of their lives, whereas the act of releasing the bomb took seconds.

The airmen of the Luftwaffe took pride in their dogfights with the British, but came off worse because their planes were not so manoevrable.
