The correct answer to this question is A butterfly. Many steps go into a caterpillar turning into a butterfly. First, the caterpillar must digest itself. Doing so allows for the release of enzymes, which dissolves all of the tissues. Once all of the tissues are gone, the caterpillar uses their discs to make what is known as caterpillar soup.

This soup generates a very fast cell division. When this division occurs, it allows for the creation of the parts of the butterfly, including their wings, legs, eyes, and genitals. When the caterpillar is formed, some of the cells of the caterpillar remain.
