Caramel is a delicious flavor. Caramel can be made into pies, cakes and syrup. Caramel is a burning of sugar and sometimes water. One way to make caramel is to use a big pot and then combine sugar and water. The cook should heat the sugar and water over medium heat. Once the sugar is melted, then the sugar should become brown in color. At this point the sauce should have reduced heat. There will be other things added to the caramel. Some things will be added in order to make a certain type of caramel.

All caramels need to have cream and butter added to it while it is on low heat. The cook should always be stirring the caramel. Salt should be added or vanilla extract should be added depending on the type of caramel you are making.
