A. Jesus was sent to all men initially B. Jesus was sent just for the Jews, and only they can be saved C. Jesus was sent for the Gentiles, since the Jews rejected God D. Jesus was sent for the Jews, and when rejected as prophesized reached out to the Gentiles
Jesus was sent for the jews, and when rejected as prophesized reached out to the gentiles-christ was initially sent to israel, or gods chosen people (matthew 15:21-24). the reason for this is that israel was under gods law, or the mosaic laws. christ came unto them not to abolish these laws, but to fulfill them (matthew 5:17) and bring righteousness to gods people (daniel 9:24). however, christ was rejected by israel (john:1-11) as prophesied by both daniel (daniel 9:26) and isaiah (isaiah 49:7, 53:3), allowing for all to become children of god (john 1:12, matthew 21:42-43, romans 11:7-11, ephesians 2:12).the original plan was always to bring salvation unto all men, however, god had promised righteousness to israel, and because of this, gods gift was initially sent to israel for them to reject. like with a spoiled child, because they rejected this amazing gift, god chose to give it to all who believe, thus fulfilling his promise to israel, the prophecies regarding christs rejection, and his plan to offer salvation and reconciliation to everyone.
