Many grocery stores and other shops sell confectionery products. These products are clearly made of sugar and this is their main ingredient. Most of these products are made by a manufacturing company like Hershey’s or Nestles. However, over time there are more and more companies making candies. Even though there are not many ingredients, usually two, the process to make this candy is quite tedious.

First, the sugar and water is heated together for a while. This creates a drippy syrup and it is cooked to a high temperature. Usually a candy thermometer is needed to make sure the temperature reaches a certain temperature. Then the candy can be molded into the different shapes. Certain candies include gums, jellies, and caramels.
