There are four main ways to cook beets. The first way is to slow roast the beets. Similar to roasting any type of vegetable, you would place the beets in a pan and cover it before placing it in the oven. The beets should be roasted for about an hour and they should be soft. The second way is very similar to the first way. You roast the beets in a piece of aluminum foil and make sure it is wrapped tightly up. Instead of roasting it for an hour, the temperature should be higher and the time in the oven should only be about for half an hour.
Another way to cook beets is to steam them in a steamer basket. The last way to boil the beets in a pot of boiling water on top of the stove.
