Pretty Little Liars is a television show based on a series of novels written by Sara Shepard. The plot follows a group of four girls named Spencer, Hannah, Aria, and Emily. Their clique begins to disband after the strange disappearance of the fifth girl and leader Alison. Soon after Alison disappears, all four of the remaining girls begin to get various messages from someone only known as "A" who is threatenng to divulge all their secrets that only Alison would know about. One might say that Spencer Hastings is the main character of the show and she is played by Troian Bellisario.
However , her three other friends have lead rolls as well. Hannah Marin is played by Ashley Benson, Aria Montgomery is played by Lucy Hale, and Emily Fields is played by Shay Mitchell.
