Cooking steaks can either make you or break you because, let’s face it, steaks are expensive so you need to know how to perfectly or correctly cook it. There are many recipes which can show you how to cook steak, but this is my most favorite recipe because it’s not only easy, but it can also teach you how to cook perfect steaks every single time.

First, you need steak (I prefer prime beef because of its quality), kosher or sea salt to taste, an oven-proof skillet, and aluminum foil. Second, place your steak on the skillet and preheat your oven to 500 degrees Fahrenheit. Third, depending on what type of steak you are trying to cook, bake the steak for 120 degrees Fahrenheit (for rare), 125 degrees (for medium rare) or 130 degrees (for medium).

Fourth, when your steak is done to your liking, remove the skillet from the oven and loosely cover it with aluminum foil, and let it rest for about 10 minutes so it can continue cooking and redistribute its juice. Fifth, serve and enjoy!
