The United States of America has fifty (50) states in total. The most populated state is California with a total population of more than 39 million people. Texas follows with more than 27 million, Florida with more than 20 million, New York with more than 19 million, Illinois has more than 12 million, Pennsylvania with more than 12 million, Ohio with more than 11 million, Georgia and North Carolina both have more than 10 million people, Michigan has more than 9 million, New Jersey and Virginia both have more than 8 million people.

The other states are: Washington, Arizona, Massachusetts, Tennessee, Indiana, Missouri, Maryland, Wisconsin, Colorado, Minnesota, Alabama, Louisiana, Kentucky, Oregon, Oklahoma, Connecticut, Iowa, Utah, Mississippi, Arkansas, Nevada, Kansas, New Mexico, Nebraska, West Virginia, Idaho, Hawaii, New Hampshire, Maine, Rhode Island, Montana, Delaware, South Dakota, North Dakota, Alaska, Vermont, and Wyoming.
