How do you bake a cake?

There are different kinds of cake available nowadays such as angel cake, apple cake, banana cake, Boston cream pie, butter cake, chiffon cake, carrot cake, and ice cream cake, to name a few. However, for the purpose of this question, we will talk about how to make chocolate cake. First, you need the following ingredients: 1 cup of unsweetened cocoa powder, 2 ½ cups of all-purpose flour, 2 cups of sugar, 1 ½ teaspoons of baking powder, 1 teaspoon of baking soda, 1 teaspoon of salt, 3 large eggs, ¾ cup of vegetable oil, ½ cup of sour cream, and 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

While waiting, mix the cocoa powder and 1 ½ cups of boiling water in a medium bowl and whisk until smooth. Set aside the mixture and then whisk the sugar, flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt in a bowl until completely combined. Once done, add the eggs, sour cream, vegetable oil and vanilla and beat on medium speed until smooth. Reduce the speed to low and beat until combined. Bake for 30 to 40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the cake comes out clean. Let it cool for 10 minutes and then transfer to a cooling rack. Serve and enjoy!
