You need to make sure that it is saved in the correct format. One format is a gif. This type of format reduces the image into a file on the computer so that it can be sent more easily.
When you are using an image and you want to save it, most graphics software will allow you to save it to a gif. Sometimes, you can download software specifically for saving photos for gifs. When you download or bring in an image, you go to save as and then click on the box near the bottom to select the way you want to save it. You should save it as gif.
