A person who wishes to deactivate his or her account should follow these simple steps: 1) Log in to your account, 2) Click the account menu located at the top right of the Facebook page, 3) Click setting, 4) Select General, 5) Click Manage your account, 6) Scroll down until you see Deactivate your account, and 7) Click deactivate.
It should be noted that when you deactivate your account, your profile will no longer be visible to other Facebook users and they won’t be able to send you a message or search for you. However, it is also worthy to note that deactivating your Facebook page is just temporary. This means that if you wish to reactivate your account, all you need to do is log in again.
