NFL players have been kneeling during the national anthem to protest racism. The movement was started by a player named Colin Kaepernick. About 14 months ago Kaepernick sat on the bench during the national anthem but later took a knee instead so as not to be disrespectful to veterans.

Other players followed suit. Some fans are proud of the players for standing up for what is right while others seem to be outraged saying that the player’s protests are disrespectful to the United States.
