The poem “Lochinvar” was published in 1808. It’s written by Sir Walter Scott of Scotland. The poem is about a knight named Lochinvar, and what he does to win over the father of a woman he loves. He’s described as “dauntless in war” and that there had never been a knight like him before. It’s part of a longer poem, an epic called “Marmion”.

The poem “Lochinvar” was published in 1808. It’s written by Sir Walter Scott of
Sir Walter Scott was born on August 15th, 1771. He died on September 21st, 1832. His first poems were published in a publication started by one of his friends, and his poems were pretty popular to begin with. He lived in Scotland his whole life, and wrote often of the deeds that were thought to be of Scottish honor.
