Yeah. This is something people do often when they have leftovers from another recipe. Freezing is one of the best ways to ensure that leftovers stay good past a week or so after you open it. Foods that freeze very well include pumpkin, tomato sauce, and meats. Chicken, beef, and steak can all be put in the freezer if you don’t have time to cook them up right after you buy them.

Leftovers, or precooked, meats can also be frozen to keep them good until you need them for another recipe or until you decide you want to make something with them.
Freezing and then using things left from other meals works wonderfully to cut down food waste and food costs. Think about doing this next time you find yourself with leftovers.
