A is the answer to this question. The water will move into the cell during the process of osmosis. It may come to a point when there is already too much water that is moving into the battery so the battery will burst in the process. Take note that osmotic pressure will only require the minimum amount of pressure to prevent flow.
One example of when osmotic pressure can be beneficial is when water needs to be filtered. The filter will make sure that it will remove the impurities in water before water continues to flow into a container. Just imagine if the pressure would be too high. The whole faucet may burst instead of just filtering the water.
