Heartburn is a very uncomfortable feeling that almost all of us have felt at one time or another. Heartburn is defined as a form of indigestion felt as a burning sensation in the chest caused by acid regurgitation into the esophagus. If you can avoid you are going to want to. There are some foods that can trigger or worsen heartburn that you should be wary of.

These foods include black pepper, garlic, raw onions, coffee, citrus fruit, caffeinated drinks such as teas and colas, and almost any food that can be classified as spicy. These foods should be avoided if you are prone to heartburn but if you cannot avoid these foods you should take precautions to combat the heartburn before eating them.
