Having a long flight and want to bring along your own food? You might have found yourself in this scenario before or perhaps you are contemplating this scenario for a future flight. Some foods and drinks are prohibited from bringing along on your flight but others are actually okay. Basically, according to the TSA (transportation security administration) a person can bring a pretty large list of things on flight with them.

This includes cakes, pies, sandwiches, bananas, apples, oranges, sliced fruit, firm cheese, meat, candy, gum, granola bars, pretzels, brownies, chips, cookies, pastries, and cheeseburgers. Items that cannot come on a plane with you are any kind of alcoholic beverage and mainly things that are a liquid substance like gravy, salad dressings, and soups.
