One of the most famous dishes from Spain, and one of the most popular, is called paella. This particular dish has roots going back to ancient Spain, back when the Roman empire stretched the expanse of Europe. However, modern paella as we know it comes from around the 19th century.
It’s known in Spain as a dish from Valencia, and in Valencia, it’s considered a dish that they cannot live without. There are a variety of paellas, but they fall into three different kinds: vegetarian, meat, and mixed. However, there are a few ingredients common to all paellas. Among them are rice, beans, and olive oil as a base for keeping the pan non-slick. Other ingredients could be lamb, shrimp, goat, and other kinds of vegetables.
