The most painful kind of food poisoning that one is most likely get is salmonella. The United States has at least one big salmonella scare every couple of years, and for good reason. This type of food poisoning is most often found on eggs; that’s why we are encouraged to cook eggs thoroughly before we eat them. However, the bacteria lives on the shell, so as long as the shell doesn’t come into contact for long with the egg, this will kill the bacteria. Other ways it can be passed around is when someone with the bacteria in their fecal matter doesn’t wash their hands correctly. Then goes and prepares food. Not cool.

The biggest symptom of salmonella is diarrhea. This can lead to dehydration, especially in younger children since people under 20 are more likely to be affected by it.
